Now the first step of using Google Search Console is addition of a property or addition of a website to Google search console or Google webmasters.
But before we know how to do that, let's talk about why we need to submit a website to search console?

Basically, submitting website to search console is like submitting it to google and almost getting it indexed as well. And this is the one big thing you don't want to miss. You get online, create a blog and your sole purpose now is to get found on internet. But you can't do it if you are not visible to search engines well, at least if your customers are real human beings who get online.

Getting found on google gets way much easier with Google Search Console.

Add A Website To Google Search Console

Now, when you've got your website created and you want it to be found in search engines results, you have to get it indexed and for that, Google gives a free tool - Submission of website through Search Console.


  1. First of all create a Google account which you'll use to sign in to Google Search Console.
  2. Now in Google Search Console Dashboard, click on Add A Property.
  3. Enter the URL of your website/blog there and then click on Continue.
  4. Go to site verification page and verify your ownership for website.
  5. Create a new property for other URL that your site opens at or for mobile version of website.

That's it. You have successfully added a website to Google Search Console!
